Eagle Watch Tours take place at Lake Ouachita State Park in Mountain Pine November through February. The tours take place aboard covered tour boats. Sightings are not guaranteed but on most tours eagles and a variety of wintering and migrating waterfowl are spotted. Tickets can be purchased at the visitor center. Jan. 15-17 brings the 4th annual Tri-Lakes Coin Show to Hot Springs. The coin, stamp, and sports card show will take place at the Hot Springs Convention Center and will feature 100 vendors buying, selling, and trading their wares. A celebration of our nation’s symbol will take place during the 31st annual Eagles Et Cetera Festival at DeGray Lake State Park in Bismarck on Jan. 29-31. Programs will feature the American bald eagle and other birds of prey. There will be eagle-watching lake tours, guided bird walks, owl prowls, live bird demonstrations, slide presentations, games and more. The Little Rock Zoo will present programs to area schools during the week and give live raptor demonstrations and performances at the park on Friday and Saturday.
