PHOTOGRAPHY LOAN POLICY
IT IS THE POLICY OF THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND TOURISM
THAT PHOTOGRAPHS HOUSED IN THE DEPARTMENT’S COLLECTION SHALL BE USED FOR:
- Promotional efforts of the Department or other public agencies and the regional tourist associations
- Promotional efforts of advertising and promotion commissions, chambers of commerce, and other non-profit organizations
- Illustrations to accompany feature articles on the state and its attractions
- Cover shots for periodicals, books, CDs or DVDs
- Editorial use in books and other publications
- Cooperative tourism promotion campaigns jointly undertaken by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and its Partners in Tourism participants
- Other purposes deemed appropriate by the State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission
IN REGARDS TO THE INTERNET AND OTHER ELECTRONIC MEDIUMS:
- Photographs shall be provided for editorial use only
- Photograph caption will properly identify the location (credit to the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism is not required)
- Only photographs from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism staff shall be used
- Use of photographs will be limited to ONE year, but can be renewed upon request if policies have been followed
- Web page must be linked (one way) to the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism’s home page site: www.Arkansas.com Reciprocal linkage will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
In all instances, users of department photography supplied by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism:
- Must be pre-approved by an authorized staff member
- Be issued a username and password
- Acknowledge, by acceptance of the username and password, agreement to the above terms
- Agree that Departmental photographs will not be used in commercial (i.e. non-editorial) applications
